Farrow donates Twenty-Five Thousand dollars to Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association
Richard Farrow, Chairman at Farrow has announced a recent donation of $25,000 to the Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association (WETRA) to support the innovative equine therapy programs offered to young individuals by the organization.
“My wife Donna and I are pleased to provide support to this organization, which we’ve come to know and respect. WETRA’s vision seeks to improve the quality of life of individuals with diverse needs, and we’ve seen first-hand how it accomplishes this.” Richard said in a statement. “From the first time we helped WETRA many years ago by donating a parcel of land for their new facility, it has been very near to our hearts, and we continue to support it.”
Nearly 200 persons with special needs receive therapy at WETRA each week. About 80% of those who are enrolled in the program are children who have developmental, emotional, or physical disabilities. Both children and some adults with disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, head injuries, post stroke and learning disabilities, enjoy the physical and psychological benefits of participating in equine assisted therapies.
