Windsor, ON – Farrow is thrilled to accept the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation, for the eleventh consecutive year. Along with this significant award, Farrow has also achieved, for the fifth time, the Platinum Club status; an accomplishment only few companies attain. Canada’s Best Managed has recognized Farrow as a leader for its innovation and world-class business practices.
“Throughout the program’s 27-year history, thousands of private companies have competed for this designation,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “This year’s winners have proven that they are continually and deliberately pushing boundaries; they are competitive about their place on the world stage. This is evident in their unwavering commitment to clear and concise strategies, their capability to clearly prove and articulate their sustained competitive advantage, and their commitment to the lifeblood of their organization: their people, with specific focus on developing next gen leaders.”
To achieve the Canada’s Best Managed status, companies undergo a formal application process and are judged on a variety of items including financial results, strategic planning processes/execution and responsiveness to market conditions. A judging panel evaluates applicants on their overall business performance, including areas of leadership, strategy, core competencies, cross-functional collaboration, and talent.
“To maintain our status as Canada’s Best Managed Companies, we’ve worked diligently to overcome marketplace obstacles and pressures, and have continued to encourage an inclusive workplace culture with positive core values,” stated Rick Farrow, Chairman, Farrow. “This acknowledgement is a result of the dedication and drive our employees exhibit, and the undivided attention we offer our clients, each and every day. My brother John, myself, and the entire Farrow management team are delighted to announce that we have been presented with Canada’s Best Managed Companies Platinum Club Designation, once again for 2020.”
“It is a pleasure to recognize Canada’s Best Managed Platinum companies who have consistently raised the bar on what it means to succeed today and in the future,” said Dino Medves, Senior Vice President and Head, CIBC Commercial Banking. “They set the highest of standards when it comes to best-in-class customer service, a highly engaged and diverse workforce and being able to give back to the communities in which they live and work.”
On April 1, 2020, the winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto, Ontario. As well, the Best Managed symposium will be addressing the leading-edge industry challenges, and the importance of implementing world-class business practices that are beneficial to the success of today’s business leaders.
The Best Managed program is sponsored by Deloitte Private, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business, and TMX Group.

About Canada’s Best Managed Companies
Canada’s Best Managed Companies continues to be the mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $25 million. Every year since the launch of the program in 1993, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies have competed for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates their management skills and practices. The awards are granted on four levels: 1) Canada’s Best Managed Companies new winner (one of the new winners selected each year); 2) Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner (award recipients that have re-applied and successfully retained their Best Managed designation for two additional years, subject to annual operational and financial review); 3) Gold Standard winner (after three consecutive years of maintaining their Best Managed status, these winners have demonstrated their commitment to the program and successfully retained their award for 4-6 consecutive years); 4) Platinum Club member (winners that have maintained their Best Managed status for seven years or more).
